چکیده
This paper investigates the usability of touch screens used in mass production road vehicles. Our goal is to provide a detailed comparison conventional physical buttons and capacitive taking human factor into account. The pilot test focuses on specific Non-driving Related Task (NDRT): control on-board climate system using screen panel versus rotating knobs push buttons. Psychological parameters, functionality, and, ergonomics In-Vehicle Information Systems (IVIS) were evaluated questionnaire, scale (SUS), workload assessment (NASA-TLX), physiological sensor system. measurements are based wearable eye-tracker that provides fixation points driver’s gaze order detect distraction. closed for naturalistic driving study was provided by ZalaZONE Test Track, Zalaegerszeg, Hungary. Objective subjective results indicate panels causes higher visual, manual, cognitive distraction than use statistical analysis demonstrated techniques need be complemented better represent behavior differences.

Interactive Systems on the Road: Development of Vehicle User Interfaces for Failure Assistance
In-vehicle interactive systems are usually specialized systems that rely on a particular set of hardware and are designed to support the driver in reaching a destination with his/her vehicle. Since the importance of these systems, especially when they are built to support the driver while driving, a lot of research already has been done concerning usability and safety. In contrast, interactive ...
متن کاملInterfaces on the Road: Rapid Evaluation of In-Vehicle Devices
As user interfaces move off the desktop, they have become increasingly prevalent in our everyday lives and in one environment in particular: our cars. Private vehicles are used for 91% of all personal travel in the United States (Federal Highway Administration, 2001), with the average American spending about 80 minutes in their car every day — up from about 60 minutes just over a decade ago in ...
متن کاملBlood Parameters of Drivers and Road Accidents: A Study of Heavy Vehicle Drivers in Tehran, Iran, 2018
Background: Taking the drivers' health into account from different perspectives is important. This study aimed to examine how heavy vehicle drivers' blood parameters are related to their road accident risk. Materials & Methods: A descriptive study was conducted among 200 drivers of heavy vehicles. The blood parameters were determined based on the medical records of drivers, as well as data on ...
متن کاملFinite-State Testing of Graphical User Interfaces
The most Human-Computer-Interfaces will be materialized by Graphical User Interfaces (GUI). With the growing complexity of the computer-based system, also their GUIs become more complex, accordingly making the test process more and more costly. The paper introduces a holistic view of fault modeling that can be carried out as a complementary step to system modeling, enabling a precise scalabilit...
متن کاملInput Contract Testing of Graphical User Interfaces
User inputs are critical for the security, safety, and reliability of software systems. This paper proposes a new concept called user input contracts, which is an integral part of a design-by-contract supplemented development process, and a model-based testing approach to detect violations of user input contracts. The approach generates test cases from an input contract integrated with graph-ba...
